Program Management

Programming begins by taking the owner’s objectives and working with them to define the goals, functions, and uses of the project. Programming involves preparing a written document that identifies facility needs, design expectations, budget availability, future growth expectations, and building code and regulations requirements. Program management encompasses all phases of construction from pre-planning, budgeting and scheduling, through design, bid and award, construction and move-in. PDG has the ability to deliver exceptional services in program management, including procedures associated with cost estimating, constructability review, scheduling and claims analysis. Basically in our role as owner’s advocate/manager, we bring invaluable hands-on experience to the task of completing projects in the most productive, cost-effcient manner possible.

PDG’s responsibilities may include:

  • Assisting in selecting a programming architect
  • Coordinating partnering meetings between the architect, the owner, end users and various consultant groups
  • Gathering information regarding the building function, form, use, aesthetics and requirements to establish the program
